Berks County Small Business Restart Loan Program
Chris Pierson • June 10, 2020
Last month, the Berks County Commissioners announced the creation of the Berks County Small Business Restart Loan (SBRL) Program aimed at supporting small business owners to “hit the ground running” when the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and Berks County leaders lift stay at home orders.
An information page was published on the Do Your Part Berks website outlining program guidelines and needed materials for the application process. Small businesses within Berks County and outside the City of Reading may apply for loans ranging from $2,500-$10,000 if they meet specific eligibility requirements. Approved applicants may receive up to 50% loan forgiveness if they meet certain criteria.
The application period opens Monday, June 15 and will close on Friday, June 19.
Business owners are encouraged to review the information posted on the Do Your Part Berks website prior to the application acceptance period.
Please note: the application will be made available through the Neighborhood Housing Service of Greater Berks website and NOT Do Your Part Berks.
To best reach businesses struggling during this time, we ask that you share this information with your membership. Any questions may be directed to SBRLBerkscty@nhsgb.org
